M.O.P.S

Oh how I have missed my moms group so so very much.

I didn't join a mops group in spring since I knew we'd be moving soon (or so I had thought) and didn't want to get attached to a group/friends. Silly reason? Not to me. 

So, finally, signed us up as soon as we moved and... voila! January 10th we were with our new group. 

Click here to read more about MOPS (mothers of preschoolers). My group meets every other Monday, I'd say about 70 Moms or so. We're divided up into groups of about six women. We start with breakfast, chatting, guest speaker, craft, group time, it's fantastic. All while your little one is in class with amazing Moms (who usually volunteer to work since they no longer have little ones or they are members of the church I meet at). It's quite funny actually, when I was searching for a mops group in the area, about 99645867394 different groups met somewhere. In Grand Junction, there were about 8 different groups to choose from. I love seeing how many mom's get together in the community, I think it's great! Anyways, I'm sooooo happy with the group I'm with. JM has been enjoying it so far, too. Considering he's been a pretty clingy boy most of his life, he's adjusting well to being without me for 2 1/2 hrs with new faces. One of the highlights of my MOPS day's are picking little man up from his room and the helpers handing me a craft/art piece (they pretty much do the ENTIRE thing) they did for the day. Pretty much makes me smile ear to ear :) I just love it!
